Genesis
It all began with
. It was In 2006, that Mlungisi Makhanya created Nkelele Communications. This company was named after his grandfather. It dealt with business development and administration. It also dealt with cell phone and computer repairs. The computer part dealt mostly with software. The third part of the business was video making.
Nkelele Communications was growing and developing rapidly. It moved from home environment to s public space. This happened till a more permanent home office was found.
Like all businesses, Nkelele Communications was badly affected by the divorce of Mlungisi and his wife. It had to move from home to an office in town.
Christian Mkhize
The news of the arrival of Nkelele Communications went ablaze like wild fire. Business people came and asked for help, this was to develop their businesses. Computer gigs came looking to make repairs, upgrading software. Mostly during the day Mlungisi helped Sifiso Ndokweni rebuild his company.
This brought Christian Mkhize to Mlungisi Makhanya’s doorstep. The full story is found here. Anyway meeting up with Chris gave birth to book sharing. Christian was also very fascinated by the fact that Mlungisi owned a video Camera. That alone led to him knowing about the longest song in the world. Yes, Nkelele Communications published its first song. The big fat loss was a great Hip Hop song by Mafiahill MASSIAS at 47 mins and 44 secs. This was in 2008.
Mlungisi gave birth to Twg
was actually Twg meaning The Writers Guild. Mlungisi was a poem writer and still writes to this day. He couldn’t stay at reading and sharing. He wanted more. For him more was getting published for his efforts. Publishers were selective. They wanted books that form part of their agenda. This was limiting for mlungisi Makhanya. This is one of the reasons he went to Cape town trying to find a publisher. Instead he was introduced to:
He quickly went through Facebook website. He learned most of what was going on. He made friends of every sort. Soon he formed Twg group on Facebook. Friends and non-friends became members. Soon Twg became international. This led to the change of name. This time Mlungisi Makhanya was administering Twg group with Jessica Rodriguez of America Alabama. They changed Twg to Tiwg ( The International Writer’s Guild). Many writers became excited as they all contributed to a poem book called TiwgPublishing writers Poems and quotations book 1. To his continued to Book 2.
While this was going on, I was working independently of the Facebook group. Now Twg was converted to Tiwg and finally to TiwgPublishing. On Facebook I had met people like Lazola Bottoman. who wrote This. Many followed suit. Books like this This belongs to Nigeria and was written by Nelson Aboloma. Don’t forget
I can’t forget a lady from Georgia, South America. She helped me put my first book to the world. She told me about Createspace.com. This was Amazon company. It is the same company that Mlungisi Makhanya used from 2013. He published 5 of his books, 2 of Ms Mokoena’s books, one Bottoman, and that of Nelson Aboloma.
The Interaction
In 2016, TiwgPublishing became an official company. TiwgPublishing Pty Ltd. This company began publishing music. We worked under contract with Sugo music. Our music lacked marketing and advertising.
We got registered with Samro and Risa. This helped with ISRCs for every song. When our contract was revoked Tiwgpublishingmusic was borne. Our store www.tiwgpublishingmusic.co.za sells music.
